Crisis Response Officer

Level 3 IQ Accredited Course: Designed to enable the learner to respond to incidents, co-ordinate others and provide information to the relevant emergency services or authorities in order for them to more effectively resolve the incident or emergency.

The Level 3 Award in ‘Introduction to Working as a Crisis Response Officer’ is designed to develop learners knowledge and competence in acting as the first response in a variety of emergency situations enabling them to function and assist others, including the emergency services.

It covers:

  • Empowerment of the individual
  • Enhancing the capabilities of teams
  • Awareness of surroundings
  • Responding to incidents
  • Reassuring clients, managers and the public

Whilst aimed primarily at individuals working in the security industry, especially security staff who wish to be up-skilled for the specific environment they work in, it is also relevant to other customer-facing roles such as reception staff, cleaners, maintenance and facility workers within organisations that cater for large public gatherings or other places of mass population (shopping centres, theatres, restaurants, arenas, train stations, office complexes, airports, ports and bar districts within town centres).

Defensive Driver Training

A fully accredited Defensive driver course that builds on a drivers entry level RoSPA training package and is dedicated to the uniqueness of armoured (B6) civilian or ‘White Fleet’ vehicles. It is the only formal qualification of its type and is delivered only by instructors experienced in these types of vehicle. The course is structured to be delivered over 5 day period either in country or within the UK.

All training is conducted using both non armoured and armoured vehicles, the course starts by helping students understand the differences with normal commercial vehicles, including additional weight, braking and stopping distances, including visual distortion caused by armoured glass.

The Students then progress to dynamic and realistic scenarios both on and off road. Throughout, the specifics differences of the armoured vehicles and the specialist handling skills required, are demonstrated, practiced and assessed.
